Steelers Win, but Eliminated From Playoffs

Despite the Steelers 30-24 win over the Miami Dolphins, they were still unable to make the playoffs.  The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Oakland Raiders 21-13, to clinch the AFC Wild Card berth.  Roethlisberger threw three touchdowns and the Steelers finished the season with 9 wins and 7 losses.


Playoff Hopes Still Alive

The Steelers pulled off a 23-20 win against the Ravens this weekend, keeping their playoff hopes alive.  Next week the Steelers will face the Miami Dolphins.


Steelers win 37-36

The Steelers came into this game against the Green Bay Packers on a 5 game losing streak.  It seemed that streak would extend to 6 when the Packers scored a touchdown with 2:06 left in the fourth quarter, making the score 36-30.  But Roethlisberger threw a 19 yard pass on the final play of the game to Mike Wallace for a touchdown, extending the Steelers record to 7-7.


Losing Streak Extends to 5

The Steelers losing streak extends to 5, losing to the Cleveland Browns who have only 2 wins this season.  The Steelers were held scoreless until the very end of the second quarter when Jeff Reed kicked a 27 yard field goal.  The Steelers scored again at the end of the third, bringing the score to 13-6.  Both teams remained scoreless in the fourth however, and the Steelers fall to 6-7 on the season.


Steelers Lose by 3, 3 in a Row

The Steelers lose by 3 points for the third week in a row.  A well played game by both the Raiders and the Steelers, and the Steelers found themselves ahead 24-20 with a touchdown pass to Hines Ward.  However, the Raiders responded with steady offense, and won the game 27-24 with a 11 yard touchdown pass to Bruce Gradkowski.


Steelers Lose in OT Again

What a great game between the Ravens and Steelers, but also a tough loss for the Steelers.  Neither team was ahead by more than a touchdown the entire game.  Billy Cundiff kicked a 24 yard field goal with less than two minutes in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime.  Cundiff later kicked a 29 yard field goal with 6:42 in overtime to win the game.  The Steelers drop to 6-5 with the loss.


Steelers Lose in OT

By the end of the second half, the Steelers led the Kansas City Chiefs 17-7.  Matt Cassel led a fourth quarter comeback to tie the game at 24-24, and send it to overtime.  Roethlisberger left the game with a possible concussion, and the offense could not get started.  Ryan Succop kicked the winning field goal for the Chiefs with 8:22 left in OT, to win the game 27-24.


Steelers Lose 18-12

Great defense from the Cincinnati Bengals, and a struggling Pittsburgh offense combined to hand the Bengals the win.  The Steelers were unable to score a single touchdown the entire game.  The Steelers tied the game 12-12 in the 4th, but the Bengals responded with two field goals to win the game.


Steelers Trounce Broncos 28-10

Heading into the fourth quarter, the Steelers were only ahead 14-10.  With 7 minutes left in the fourth, Roethlisberger completed a 25 yard pass to Mike Wallace for a touchdown.  The Steelers later sealed the victory with a 3 yard pass touchdown for Hines Ward.


Bye Week for Steelers
